Android Oreo with EMUI 6 on the Huawei Mate 9

For the Huawei Mate 9, the Android Oreo update is already up and running. Apparently, the manufacturer releases a new version in the EMUI layer, but with small changes in design. Soon, the Huawei Mate 9 will upgrade to Android Oreo 8.0.  It seems that the Chinese company is already testing in beta version, which will be accompanied by MIUI 6.0.

Android Oreo is not a version that includes great news, nor a change of impressive design, but it seems that Huawei has wanted to release Android O with its Mate 9 and with great changes. Through the XDA developer forum, we have been able to see different screenshots as well as some new features. According to the first information, EMUI 6 looks almost exactly like the oldest user interface of EMUI 5.

The first thing to keep in mind is that Android Oreo on the Huawei Mate 9 will obviously include the new features presented by Google. That is, we will have the famous Picture-In-Picture function, autofill, in addition to improving the application process, more power and safety. It also includes enhancements to notifications as well as notifications panel through the icon.

As for the features added by Huawei, for MUI 6, we find one that includes the possibility to change the resolution of the screen. This has already been seen on some Samsung devices, and the truth is that it can be very useful to prolong battery life. Watch below video to know what Linus thinks of Android O.

A button has also been added in the navigation bar, which allows us to hide the bar permanently. But the most important change is the new gesture control on the screen, iPhone X style. These gestures can replace the navigation bar. For example, by sliding from left to right to open the drawer of recent applications.

Also, as we see some Bluetooth options have also been added to the development options. The long-awaited aptX HD to enjoy higher quality with your Bluetooth headset.

Keep in mind that this is a beta and many things remain to be polished. Also, possibly some new features do not reach the final version. Whatever happens, users of a Mate 9 can rest easy, less and less for this device to update officially.
